What was your motivation?
My motivation to lose weight was to rebuild my confidence after having two kids back-to-back.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
During the times when I thought about giving up, I thought about other women in the world who were out there working towards the same goal but who was much larger than I was.
How did you change your eating habits?
When I began my journey on Jan. 1, 2022, I started by praying and asking God to help me eat foods that nourished my body. I stopped drinking and started journaling what I ate every day. After a few months, I incorporated intermittent fasting (16:8), which I still stick to today to maintain the weight loss.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I committed to 2 hours of cardio per week and praised myself for how much I accomplished daily.
How long did your transformation take? It took nine months to lose 50 lbs after trying this journey for the 3rd time.
Is weight loss surgery part of your story?
Weight-loss surgery was not a part of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I have learned so far is consistency drives results.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice is never to look back. Keep moving forward and forgive yourself through the process. Every day you try is a successful day!!
