Transformation of the Day: Meiosha lost 63 pounds. This mom of two decided to start her transformation journey after a tough breakup. Intermittent fasting and walking are two of the tools she used.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I decided to get in shape after a really hard breakup back in 2021. I decided to shed the weight for myself and not be depressed.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started fasting. I did 20 hours of fasting and ate in a four-hour window.
Did you change your eating habits when you started fasting, or did your eating habits remain the same…just a smaller eating window?
My eating habits remained the same. However, I just chose to eat smaller portions. Also, I look at labels in the grocery store.
What is your workout routine?
I walked around my neighborhood. Walking was the main exercise I did.
How often did you work out?
I walked around my neighborhood and worked up to about 3 miles a day. Some days I would do 6 miles.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 240 pounds, and my current weight is 177 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’2″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
My transformation took about two years.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I did everything all-natural and with prayers to the universe.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? First, you have to be disciplined and understand why you are losing weight. Also, losing weight is a lifestyle change, not a diet for me.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Have a purpose for why you are losing weight, and don’t be so hard on yourself. Also, know that everyone’s journey is different.
