Transformation of the Day: Chrischon lost 44 pounds with healthier eating habits and exercise. Her family is her motivation. She is determined to build a healthy legacy for her four daughters.
What is your motivation?
My motivation is my family. I didn’t want to die before I finished building a legacy for them. So, I went vegan and started to exercise. I have four daughters, and I wanted them to be proud of their mother.
How did you change your eating habits?
Fruits and vegetables became my go-to, even though I still struggled with certain things like fries and chips. Fried foods made me sick to my stomach and would remind me of what I was doing to my body. So, I would stop, detox, and get back on the bandwagon.
What was your workout routine?
My workout routine is not a routine at all. I try to go outside and ride my bike, jump rope, or walk (and sometimes run ) when I can – Maybe twice a week or two times a month. The point is I don’t stop pushing until the scale and my weight loss goal are the same.
What is your height?
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 328 pounds, and now I weigh 284 pounds. It took me about a year to get through the first stage of my journey. Now, I’m looking into getting weight loss surgery to complete the rest of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is to never give up. Sometimes, we beat ourselves up because we cheated or fell back into old habits. I know that if I keep going, I breathe a little better, feel a little better, and get closer to my healthier self. I’m never going back to the way I was. As long as I have today, I can make the effort to be healthy.
